This past weekend I turned 30! We were planning on hitting the zoo and an SDSU baseball game, but the weather wasn't cooperating. So Neddie took me to dim sum and then we picked up a cupcake at Babycakes in Hillcrest (yeah, I broke Lent for my bday, just needed some cake!) and watched UFC while it rained. It was actually quite nice. Low key, but fun.
We did some fun gardening today. Neddie helped me put together our new tomato planter. I invested in a nice self-water planter with the cage ready to go and everything - we love it! Last year I had some sad sack tiny pots with ghetto-looking stakes and they still produced - so I'm excited to see what we can get this year with a bit more planning. Here's what it'll look like (hopefully):

We also planted some geraniums for the deck and a few other small things to add some color.
Finally, on the baby front, we've started our childbirth classes which I just love! Learning about the process is actually really helping me to not be scared of it. I mean, I know it will be hard, but it's becoming less of a mystery as we go. In a way I'm actually looking forward to it, I can't wait to meet our little guy or gal :)
I got a small nursery item this week, too. A sweet little crocheted birdie from a fabulous etsy shop, Homemade Zen. Thought it would be cute on a shelf, then s a little toy when baby is old enough for cute lil stuffies:

Adorable, right? Yup! Oh, finally - only one month until my leave starts! Wheee!
